Responsibilities:
seeking a Controller to be responsible for financial control, accounting and reporting at a food manufacturing and distribution operations in Angola, N.
Y.
Specific responsibilities include:
nn o Prepares and reviews cost reports and production analysis.
n o Oversees accounting, accounts payable, billing, accounts receivable and payroll.
n o Completes month-end closing process and accounts reconciliation.
n o Prepares annual budget for manufacturing facilityn o Interacts with distribution center personnel and general managers.
Oversees accounts payable for the distribution centern o Coordinates and completes cycle counts and physical inventoryn o Review and maintain transfer prices and communicates profitability concerns.
n o Maintains fixed assets and CIPn o Ensures compliance with New York sales and use tax statute.
Maximizes applicable exemptions.
n o Develops and maintains labor and overhead standards.
n o Assists with the investigation of monthly production variances and provides analytical insight to recurring trendsn o Reviews inventory adjusts, ensuring proper valuation and costing of inventoryn o Reviews and reconciles inventory receipt accruals.
n o Analyzes and implements cost accounting methods and proceduresn o Interacts with external auditors during audit process.
n o Support other departments as needed.
n o Prepares ad-hoc profitability analysis nnRequirements:
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, plus 3-5 years of experience and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Other specific requirements include:
nCost accounting experiencen o Excellent computer skills includingn o Microsoft Excel experience is a MUSTn o Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
n o Experience with Lawson software is a plus.
nnn n Recommended Skills Accounts Payable Accounts Receivable Billing Foods Management Accounting Management Control Systems Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
